our process
Ideally, it is best to allow 4 to 6 weeks for a custom invitation project. We have outlined the steps in our creative process below:
1) Initial Consultation - All of our initial consultations are complimentary. What is the mood you are hoping to set? Is there a theme?
What is your color scheme? Do you expect a large number of guests to travel for the event? These types of details help us envision
your inspiration behind the event. Together, we can discuss budget, design elements, paper selections and other creative
considerations that might work for your event invitations.
If you are planning an event in the central Indiana area, but live elsewhere, no worries. After an initial consultation to select the
design elements of your project, we can manage the project via PDF proofs over email. We will do all of the leg work and keep you
posted on a weekly basis.
2) Initial Quote - Following our initial consultation, we will prepare a quote for your project. The quote will outline each of the design
elements of your project and will include pricing for the invitations - assembled and unassembled. This type of ala carte pricing lets
you decide where you want to invest your money. You can tell us what elements are most important to you! If you find your design
tastes are not fitting your budget, we can suggest other paper selections that might help control the costs.
3) Client Agreement and Deposit - Once we have agreed on the scope of the project and the price, we will prepare a client agreement
outlining the scope and the time lines you have requested. Once the agreement is signed and a 50 percent deposit of the project
total is made, we can begin designing your invitations! Project payments can be made using cash, check, Mastercard or Visa.
4) Proofs and Printing - We do not charge for any of our proof services. You are more than welcome to request as many proofs as
necessary to create the perfect invitation for you. Once a signed copy of the final proof is submitted, we can send your project to print!
While we work with a national paper supplier, we are pleased to work with a local printer who is committed to producing quality
materials. This local printing relationship allows us to keep day-to-day eye on your project to avoid any unnecessary delays in
printing.
5) Project Delivery - The remaining 50 percent of your project is not due until we deliver a final project that exceeds your expectations!
For clients who live out of town, we are more than happy to arrange delivery of your invitations to a location outside of central Indiana.
